For anyone familiar with the classic Vietnamese noodle soup are probably asking yourself, “What in the world is going on?” This dish is usually sold between $5.00 and $10.00 on any normal day. This was not just an average day or Pho at Tiato in Santa Monica, CA.
This Pho was made from luxury ingredients, such as white alba truffles, A5 Wagyu beef, foie gras based broth, special hand-raised bean sprouts and the meat from rare blue lobsters was used to make the noodles. Can you say decadence?
All the hubbub surrounding this $5,000 bowl of Pho soup was for a charity auction to benefit both the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospitals of Los Angeles/ Orange County.
The owner of Tiato, House of An, plans to put and keep the $5,000 Pho on the menu at their other restaurant, Crustacean’s in Beverly Hills, CA. Profits from the Pho will continue to go to both hospital organizations.
