Taylor Swift Rounds Out the 2013 Year as Most Charitable Celebrity

The website dosomething.org published its annual list of the top twenty most charitable celebrities and coming in at number one was singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. The tall beauty apparently has a heart of gold to match her equally gifted talents. Her noticeable efforts include monetary donations, but extend beyond that as well.

Swift helped out the struggling Nashville Symphony this year with a $100,000 donation. She performed at a charity event hosted by the organization known as Centrepoint which benefits the homeless. However, she also did things that show a real personal kindness. She met in person with a 7-year-old fan that was hit by a car on the way to a Taylor Swift concert. Talk about class! She also spent some time on the phone Christmas day with a father who is hospitalized fighting cancer. Swift also fronted therapy sessions for fans of hers that are victims of bullying.

The tall 5’10” singer from Reading, Pennsylvania, may not have any luck with the men, but she sure has a way of giving back to ordinary people. If Karma is real, it is no wonder that she finishes off 2013 having her most successful year to date with her “Red” tour.
