Largest Reported Methamphetamine Facility In Canadian History

Mississauga, Ontario (eCanadaNow) - Police in the Peel and Toronto area are spending the day wrapping up the largest ever lab for creating Meth ever found in Canada.

Located in a remote industrial area to the west of Toronto, the facility was discovered by citizen tips about a lot of activity of a suspicious nature. Upon further investigation, police discovered two areas used at Meth “kitchens” to prepare and distill the chemicals needed for Meth operations.  The facility itself is not very far from the Toronto International Airport.

At this point Police are dismantling the lab, and it no longer is any danger to the public at large. It is not being revealed at this time how much of the Methamphetamine drugs were being produced at the facility, but it is feared that it was a major source of the illegal substance.

Literally dozens of police officers equipped with hazardous material suits descended on the location in order to effect clean up. It is estimated it will take the next several weeks to dispose and properly bring to a close the site.

The amount of drugs that the facility was responsible for creating over the last several months is being referred to as “substantial.”  Peel Police Spokesman Constable J.P. Valade said his officers are guarding the perimeter of the location to make sure that the public is protected, and that the Toronto police are leading in the clean up efforts.
