First Degree Murder Charges In Death Of A Saskatchewan Woman Little Black Bear Reserve, Sask (eCanadaNow) - Another man has been arrested and will be charged in the death of a 19-year-old woman who has been missing for the last three years.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officers confirmed that Gilbert Allan Bellegarde, 31 years of age, has been arrested and will be charged with first-degree murder in the case of young Amber Redman.
Remains of Ms. Redman were believed to have been found on Monday in an abandoned ditch on a gravel road in a remote area of the Little Black Bear Reserve, located to the Northeast of Regina.
Gilbert joins 29-year-old Albert Patrick Bellegarde who was previously arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the Redman Death.
Amber Redman was last seen outside a bar in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan on July 15th, 2005. She had left no word with friends and relatives and has not been seen since that day.
Police believe that the crime was committed in a house about five kilometres from the dump site. A swarm of police officials and investigators descended with a search warrant on Monday, and are continuing their investigation.
