Boston (eCanadaNow) - A meat packing plant exploded on Sunday, causing an ammonia leak which forces 180 people to flee their homes in Arkansa on Easter Sunday.
It is not believed that any employees or contractors in the plant were actually injured, but the blast did cause major concern.
Firefighters had to quickly get on the scene to control the fire following the explosion.
The firefighters were unable to fight it though because of the dangers of the gas. They were forced to let the fire burn itself out.
The explosion took place at the Cargill Meat Solutions plant.
It is believed that the fire consisted of 88,000 pounds of ammonia,a s well as 100,000 pounds of carbon dioxide for refigeration systems.
