New York (ECN) - Last week the internet was buzzing after two Georgia men, Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer, claimed to have found a real Bigfoot body.
Both men who are former members of law enforement, said they now have the body stuffed in a large freezer at an undisclosed location while more tests are being conducted.
At a news conference Friday, the Bigfoot hunters only proof of the creatures existence was an email for a scientist who said that initial DNA test were "inconclusive."
Whitton and Dyer were along with Tom Biscardi, head of a group called Searching for Bigfoot, said that more "evidence" will be presented in September.
They said the mythical creature is about 7 feet 7 inches tall and weighs over 500 pounds.
Since the new conference was more a promotional event for websites than a forum for scientific discovery, people remain skeptical.
When asked why people should believe their claims without substantial evidence, Dyer replied:
“They don’t have a choice to believe us. We have a body.”
They said the mythical creature is about 7 feet 7 inches tall and weighs over 500 pounds.

A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Reserve spokesman said that Bigfoot isn't on any of their endangered species lists and they are not taking the claims seriously.
"Everyone who has talked down to us is going to eat their words," predicted Matt Whitton, .
The men said that more proof will be released in September.
