Teens Who Attacked Girl For YouTube Charged As Adults

The six teenage girls and two teen boys who all took part in the brutal beating of 16-year old Victoria Lindsay will be charged as adults. Back on March 30, the six teenage girls from Florida brutally attacked 16-year old Lindsay, after one of the girls lured her into a home.

Lindsay apparently wrote comments about the girls on the social-networking site MySpace, prompting the attack.

The video was released by authorities this week, showing how Lindsay was hit in the head numerous times.  She also suffered damage to her hearing and eye sight.

17-year old Mercades Nichols, 17-year old Britney Mayes, and 17-year old Brittini Hardcastle are all being charged with felonious battery, as well as kidnapping and false imprisonment.
16-year old Cara Murphy, 15-year old Kayla Hassell, 14-year old April Cooper, 17-year old Zachary Ashley, and 18-year old Stephen Schumaker face charges of felonious battery as well as false imprisonment.
The teens will make their first appearance in court on Friday in Polk County.

They face a sentence of up to life in prison due to them being charged as adults.
