Hollywood (eCanadaNow) - Ever since the controversial end of the Sopranos on HBO this past Sunday night many have speculated on the future of the franchise, but it appears a movie is not in the cards.
Fans have been holding out for a finish to the Sopranos as they were left hanging in the final moments of the series finale. Creator David Chase though has laid to rest rumors and hopeful fans stating that they need to "Do stop believin."
This was in regards to the idea that the Sopranos may be headed to a theater near you. Many believe that the unresolved ending was simply a set plan in order to launch a storm over Hollywood with a Sopranos film or a series of Sopranos films. This is notthe case though.
Chase stated that "I don't think about a movie much, I never say never. An idea could pop into my head where I would go Wow, that would make a great movie, but I doubt it."
The key line there though is "never say never" and will likely be the line which Sopranos fans hold on to. With franchises never seeming to die in Hollywood, anything is possible for the future of the Sopranos.
