Priorities were placed on safety, affordability, aesthetics, as well as sustainability.

Pitt put up $5 million of his own money and is asking other corporations, church groups, etc. for $150,000 donations.  The website he has set up is located at www.makeitrightnola.org.

He stated at a press conference that his plan for 150 brand new homes in New Orleans will be completed by next year.  He stated there is no reason 10,000 homes, or even 100,000 new homes is not possible as long as the support is there!
