Seattle (eCanadaNow) - A six-week series hosted by Drew Lachey is about to kick off and bring a whole new twist to reality show dancing as Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba will go head to head in Dance War.
The spin-off from Dancing With the Stars will feature the two stars searching for the most talented amateur performers in the United States who can dance and sing.
Two teams will be created and these two teams will go head to head on the dance floor in what is called Dance War, based on the BBC program Dance X.
12 contestants will be divided into two teams led by Bruno and Carrie Ann. Viewers will vote for their favorite group each week. The captain of the team with the lowest score will choose a performer to be eliminated.
The winner gets a chance to tour as the opening act for a major performing artist, and get a career as a new singing-and-dancing act.
