Washington (eCanadaNow) - Country music star Eddy Arnold has died at the age of 89-years old.
Eddy Arnold was famous for songs such as "Make the World Go Away" and was just a few days shy of his 90th birthday when he passed away.
He died at a care facility near Nashville, according to reports.
His wife of 66 years died this past March.
Arnold was a huge hit on the country scene, making him one of the most successful country singers of all time.
He stated in the past, "I sing a little country, I sing a little pop and I sing a little folk, and it all goes together."
It sure did as he had many top singles in his time, earning plenty of awards and accolades.
A public funderal service is planned at the Ryman Auditorium.
