Hollywood (eCanadaNow) - Penelope Cruz has signed on to be one of the lead voices in Disney's G-Force.

According to reports, she will be the lead voice in the Disney film produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

The family film is going to feature live-action as well as CG animations.

It will tell the story of a team of intelligent animal military-type figures who have to save the world from an evil villain.

Cruz will be playing the guinea pig named Juarez.  

Nicolas Cage has also signed on to play the voice of the male lead, Speckles.

Steve Buscemi will play the hamster Bucky, and Tracy Morgan will play a guinea pig named Blaster.

The film will release on May 1, 2009.
