Hollywood (eCanadaNow) - Somebody had to go home following American Idol week 12, but who would it be?  With fans voting for their top 11, someone's heart had to be broken, and it ended up being male stripper David Hernandez.

Week 12 of American Idol featured songs from John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and apparently week 13 will be doing the same as well according to Ryan Seacrest.

The big question though was, who will be going home after some of the performances?

Simon stated that the performance by front-runner David Archuleta was severely slacking, stating that it was the worst he had done yet.

One of the surprises, who ended up being safe, was Chikezie.  He performed "She's a Woman," surprising judges.

In the end it ended up coming down to the final 3, David Hernandez, the male stripper, in the middle of two females.

Saisha was the first to sit down, with just David and Kristi remaining.

After 29 million votes, David Hernandez gets voted off.
