Washington (ECN) - NBC was quick to pull the plug on the new Rosie O'Donnell variety show after just one week.

The show, Rosie Live, made its debut last Wednesday amidst a lot of buzz and hype with a great deal of advertising being thrown behind it.

Unfortunately though only five million people tuned in to watch the big debut on NBC.

This prompted NBC to pull the plug on the show.  Rosie stated on her blog, "there will be no more, no ratings. bad reviews."

The show did not do very well up against the Obama interview with Barbara Walters.

Rosie O'Donnell stated though that the show was still a thrill for her.
