The Screen Actors Guild has agreed to a deal with one independent film company, pending a major strike with movie studios.Hollywood (eCanadaNow) - The Screen Actors Guild has agreed to a deal with one independent film company, pending a major strike with movie studios.

The deal was signed with The Film Department.

The deal stated that if the actos strike against the major movie studios does occur, actors will be able to work for that particular company.

This comes as the SAG and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers continues to talk and try to work out a deal with the movie studios.

The agreement has yet to be commented on by SAG.

There is no word if other film companies sought deals as well.

Mark Gill, the head of The FIlm Department, admitted that he approached SAG about the deal.

This would be similar to how the Writers Guild of America signed with independent producers during their strike.
