Washington (eCanadaNow) - Blue Cross Blue Shield has signed a deal with Googl eHealth to offer medical records online.

The deal will have the insurance company putting upu medical records and healthcare claims online, putting more power in the hands of their patients.

Google Health is the new online healthcare Web portal which opened just recently by the search giant.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is the first health insurance company to sign on to the service.

Cleve Killingsworth, chairman and chief executive of Blue Cross stated "We believe Google Health will be an important tool used by our members to improve the safety and effectiveness of their healthcare."
