The new President of the Canadian Medical Association, Dr. Robert Ouellet believes that one of the methods that will force change on the Canada system is by providing competition using private medical clinics and private Canadian medical Services.

Dr. Ouellet has stated that is was not a coincidence that his appointment to a position that is one year in duration is right after a doctor that held the position that was firmly against private health car4e.

“The members of the CMA knew the previous president of the CMA, Dr. Day, was against private care, and they chose to support me,” said Dr. Ouellet.

Many physicians and doctors are upset and calling for change, including their support of private health care, because of the lack of quality care and long delays in patient care in Canada.

Dr. Ouellet has publicly pointed to the need for changes, and he has gone so far as to start a private clinic to force change in the Canadian support system.
