Boston (ECN) - Doctors and consumer advocates have coem out and stated that over-the-counter cold medicines should not be sold to young kids.
Doctors and consumer advocates have made it quite clear that they do not reall these OTC cough and cold medicines are safe for kids.
This is because of the fact that they are unproven, and potentially quite dangerous.
They are urging the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ban the sales of the products.
These products include such things as Dimetapp from Wyeth, and NyQuill from Procter & Gamble.
Other medicines included are Tylenol, as well as PediaCare. The warning has gone out for all kids under the age of 6.
