Washington (ECN) -  Public health officials have confirmed that an E. coli outbreak is responsbile for dozens of people falling ill at a Boy Scout camp in Virginia.

Public health officials in Virginia have confirmed that 14 Boy Scouts and one adult have been sickened by E. coli.

The Boy Scout camp is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Public health officials continue to investigate as they are trying to seek out the actual source of the outbreak.

In total, over 50 Boy Scouts have been sickened, with 9 having to be sent to the hospital.

There have been no fatalities to this point from the E. coli outbreak.
