During a recent trip to Germany for a cancer treatment, Farrah Fawcett and longtime companion Ryan O’Neal almost finally got married. The couple has been together many years and have a son together.
It was reported last week that Farrah requested and ate a steak from the Palm restaurant. She was able to cut and eat the steak herself. That is considered a good sign because she has been receiving most nutrients by IV in recent months.
The actress’s 91 year old father recently came for a visit and was very encouraged by the support and care she is receiving from family and friends. He noted it was a very healing environment.
It’s been a long 2 ½ years for Fawcett and O’Neal. She has been in a lot of pain recently. Her documentary story about her illness was watched by over 9 million viewers recently. The footage was very personal and moving.
It was reported over a month ago that she was in her final days but she has shown some improvement since those reports came out. A visit to Farrah’s official website allows visitors to buy items to raise money so the doctor from Germany can come to the US to continue treatment.
In a blog post on fawcett's official PR blog, her rep Allen S. Miller says that her camp is trying to bring Dr Jacob From Germany with his "magic cancer remedy."
The post reads:
"There are reports on Tabloidbaby.com, and other very Credible News Agency’s that Ryan O’Neal and Alana Stewart are blocking Dr.Jacob from coming back into this country from Germany with her magic cancer remedy’s to treat our beloved Farrah. This is difficult to believe after Mella, Farrah’s hair dresser and Friend says that Ryan and Alana are indeed helping Farrah. This is difficult to comprehend, We will believe Only the Best---That Ryan and Alana are facilitating Dr.Jacob’s arrival. To insure her help, we have decided to give a portion of the proceeds to the travel expenses and treatment provided by Dr. Jacob.We Love Farrah, and want to help FIGHT"
Farrah continues to fight the fight and like most cancer patients, is preparing for the end but hoping for a miracle.
