The Sanofi-Aventis anti-obesity drug Acomplia has been suspended from sale by the European Union. .Hollywood (ECN) - The Sanofi-Aventis anti-obesity drug Acomplia has been suspended from sale by the European Union.

The anti-obesity drug was seen as the most prominent drug on the plate of Sanofi.

It was projected that by 2010, it would bring in $5 billion in annual sales.

This will not happen though, as health officials from the European Union stated that the risks now outweigh the benefits of the drug.

They have successfully suspended the sale of the drug to patients.

The risks psychotic disorders, among other things overall.

Doctors can no longer prescibe the medicines to patients.
