Toys 'R' Us To Drop Baby Bottles With BPA

Toys 'R' Us has stated that they will begin to rid of all baby bottles which contain the toxic chemical BPA.  By the end of 2008, they plan to rid of all baby bottles and other baby feeding products which have BPA in them.Washington (eCanadaNow) - Toys 'R' Us has stated that they will begin to rid of all baby bottles which contain the toxic chemical BPA.  By the end of 2008, they plan to rid of all baby bottles and other baby feeding products which have BPA in them.

BPA or bisphenol A has been found in many plastics and can cause developmental problems for children.

This comes following a draft report by the National Toxicology Program which found concern that the chemical could cause changes in infants and toddlers.

This follow Wal-Mart who also stated that they wil stop selling baby bottles made with BPA.

Toys 'R' Us stated they are "committed to the safety of all its customers and is vigilant about staying current with emerging scientific and other thinking about ingredients in products sold in its stores."

"The company has been working with manufacturers to phase out all baby bottles and other baby feeding products containing BPA in its Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us stores nationwide."
