Washington (ECN) - American video game designer Richard Garriott has blasted off into space.
The American video game designer reached space on Sunday, and managed to succeed in reaching his lifelong dream.
He made it into space aboard the Soyuz TMA-13 spacecraft along with two crew mates, as well as some DNA cargo.
The 47-year old is a multi-millionaire from Austin, Texas, and is the sixth person to pay to travel into space.
He is also the first American to follow a parent into orbit.
The rocket will dock Tuesday with the International Space Station. He will spend 10 days there conducting experiments.
