Boston (eCanadaNow) - The NHL has suspended Buffalo Sabres forward Andrew Peters for one game.
The suspension keeps him from playing one game, and also causes him to lose one game's worth of salary.
Peters punched New York's Colton Orr while he was on the bench in their game against the Rangers on March 10.
The punch came just before the start of an overtime period.
The Rangers went on to win the game 3-2 in a shootout.
Peters missed Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh.
He can return Friday against Carolina.
