Washington (eCanadaNow) - Activision has come out and confirmed that Call of Duty 5 will be released on all major platforms, including the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 before April 2009. This will be the first time a Call of Duty game has hit the PS2 and Wii in quite some time.
Activision stated that the game will release during the 2009 fiscal year, meaning it is due before April 2009.
Call of Duty 5 marks a return for the franchise back to the World War II conflict.
It is believed that Treyarch or Infinity Ward will be handling development for the game.
It is also stated that the game engine from Call of Duty Modern Warfare is going to be used in the upcoming James Bond game.
