Washington (ECN) - A court ordered YouTube just a few days ago to hand over history logs to Viacom, as the $1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit continues.

As part of the $1 billion lawsuit, YouTube needs to hand over user logs which will reveal the history of what YouTube users looked at in terms of videos.

The video sharing site will, however, maintain some power over what information they give to Viacom.

Viacom has been pushing to receive the information so that they can build their case against YouTube, showing how the site infringed upon copyrights.
