Rogers Reveals New iPhone Plans

Rogers Wireless announced their new iPhone plan.

Friday, June 12, 2009 – Rogers Wireless announced their new iPhone plan.

Apple’s iPhone 3GS will be arriving to Rogers Wireless on June 19.

Keith McArthur, the spokesman for Rogers Wireless had stated on Twitter, that both Fido and Rogers will be selling the new iPhone with a 16 GB for $199, the 32 GB for $299. Both of the models are with a 3 year data and voice plan.

The price for the phone without the contract subsidy has not been revealed yet by Rogers Wireless.

Rogers also announced that they are bringing back the $30 a month data pricing for the 6 GB, which was offered with the iPhone 3G when it first came out in Canada sometime last year. They are also offering this deal with the new Google Android-powered phones that appeared last week, but July 1 is the dead line for the Google Android deal. There hasn’t been a deadline for the iPhone 3G deal, but it is known that it starts immediately.

McArthur gave some bad news to those customers that had bought the iPhone 3G last year. The hardware upgrade subsidy is only offered for 2 years into a contract.

The new iPhone 3GS offers many advantages to owning one.
