Washington (ECN) - Some people truly are brilliant, as six people who own an Apple iPhone decided to spend $1,000 on the I Am Rich app, sold over the App Store.

The application was developed by Armin Heinrich, and was sold for $999.99 on the App Store.

The idea behind the app was toa ctually garner publicity for his other applications.

What ended up happing though was that he actually sold 6 copies of the app to consumers.

The developer has managed to garner a net revenue of $4,200 for the app.

Apple removed the app from the App Store shortly after it went live for unspecified reasons.
