World of Warcraft Breaks MMORPG Milestone

The massively multiplayer online role-playing game from Blizzard, World of Warcraft, has broken a major milestone with over 10 million active subscribersBoston (eCanadaNow) - The massively multiplayer online role-playing game from Blizzard, World of Warcraft, has broken a major milestone with over 10 million active subscribers.

Blizzard made the announcement this week that they now have over 10 million subscribers.  

Asia has the biggest majority of the 10 million as they make up 5.5 million users.  North America consists of 2.5 million users and Europe has 2 million.

World of Warcraft is available in seven languages with a Russian version on the way.

It released on November 23, 2004.

The game costs anywhere from $13 to $24 per month to play.

The game will only grow more with the second expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, nearing release.
