Bush took some shots at Congress on Tuesday, blaming them for the economic problems which now exist in the United States.

Bush stated that rising food and energy prices, as well as a weak housing market are to blame for many of the economic problems.

These were all caused, according to Bush, by the inaction of Congress.

Bush spoke during a news conference stating "Many Americans are understandably anxious about issues affecting their pocketbook, from gas and food prices to mortgage and tuition bills.  They're looking to their elected leaders in Congress for action."

"Unfortunately, on many of these issues, all they're getting is delay."

Bush is pushing Congress to approve new plans to try and drop energy prices and gas prices, which could in turn help the economy quite a bit.
