
Chicago (eCanadaNow) - Two trains have collided on the South side of Chicago, according to media reports Friday.
An Amtrak passenger train reportedly collided with a freight train Friday, WFLD reported.
The TV station reports that approximately 15 ambulances are on the scene, along with police and fire rescue services.
The Chicago Tribune is reporting that 5 people have been seriously hurt in the collision.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said that at least 100 passengers, called "the walking wounded", were slightly injured.
Witnesses also report that the passenger train engine was resting on top of one of the Amtrack cars.
150 people were on the Amtrack passenger train, according to reports.
