Hollywood (eCanadaNow) - Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, a Democrat from Ohio, has dropped his campaign for president of the United States after facing many challenges at home.
Kucinich will make the formal announcement that he has dropped out of the presidential race on Friday.
The only House member still in the presidential race is now Rep. Ron Paul, a Republican from Texas.
Kucinich has been facing much scrutiny lately as it was suspected that if he did continue his campaign he would lose his House seat. This was because he was blamed by many for not paying any attention to local politics in his hometown.
The 61-year-old Kucinich is the former mayor of Cleveland and is known to be a very liberal Democrat.
He has been very outspoken about his opposition to the war, calling for the impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney on many occasions.
