Washington (eCanadaNow) - On Cinco de Mayo, Republican presidential candidate John McCain reached out to Hispanic voters launching a Spanish Web site, and doing all he can to garner as many votes from that group as he is capable of.
McCain launched a Spanish language Web site on Monday to mark the Mexican Cinco de Mayo festival.
McCain stated "everything about our Hispanic voters is tailor-made to the Republican emssage."
The support for the Republican Party from Hispanics has fallen off a bit in the past months due to illegal immigration issues.
McCain is trying to win them back though stating "I am confident that I will do very well. I know their patriotism, I know the respect for the family, the advocacy for pro-life, I know the small business aspect of our Hispanic voters."
A recent poll has shown that 57% of Hispanic registered voters consider themselves Democrats, with only 23% being Republicans.
