Romney Gives Speech On Mormon Religion

Mitt Romney is getting ready to make the speech of his life on Thursday as he addresses the nation on his Mormon religion and how it will have an impact on him if he were elected president of the United StatesWashington (eCanadaNow) - Mitt Romney is getting ready to make the speech of his life on Thursday as he addresses the nation on his Mormon religion and how it will have an impact on him if he were elected president of the United States.

Mitt Romney is set to deliver a speech on religion's place in U.S. politics as the Republican presidential candidate tries to talk about his Mormon faith and answer any questions which surround it.

Romney has confirmed that the speech is going to be delivered at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas.  He also stated that those looking forward to a Mormon version of John F. Kennedy's speech during his 1960 campaign are going to be sorely disappointed.

Romney has titled the speech "Faith in America" and many are seeing it as a key moment in his presidential campaign and his hopes to become president.

Christian conservatives are the people Romney is trying to win over for the most part while he answers many questions about his own faith and faith overall among politics in the country.

Many though such as David Keene, American Conservative Union Chairman, state that people will not vote due to religion.

Romney stated that he feels no pressure for the speech, stating he will "need to preserve the pluralistic religious hertiage of America."
