Washington (ECN) - According to the latest reports out of South Korea, the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Ill, recently suffered a stroke.
U.S. and South Korean intelligence has reported that the leader recently suffered a stroke.
This turn of events has put the world on edge, as there is no telling who will take over in his place if he does not manage to fully recover.
Reports state though out of North Korea that Kim Jong Ill is indeed recovering.
If he does not recover though, who will take over North Korea?
The country is the most isolated and unpredictable in the world, and also has nuclear weapons.
Kim Sung Ho, the spy chief of South Korea, stated that this was not the first time Kim Jong Ill had gone through an operation.
He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in August and had to go through surgery.
North Korea's No. 2 leader Kim Yong Nam stated there was no issue with Kim Jong Ill.
