Boston (eCanadaNow) - The stepfather of kidnapped schoolgirl Shannon Matthews has been arrested by police on suspicion of child pornography.

Police sources state that they have arrested the stepfather, Craig Meehan, stating that he may possess child porn.

They made the arrest as they continue to investigate the kidnapping of 9-year-old Shannon Matthews.

Police have yet to confirm that it is indeed 22-year-old Meehan that was arrested.  Sources state though that his computer was confiscated as part of the kidnapping investigation.

Shannon Matthews was found on March 14 at the home of Meehan's uncle, Michael Donovan.  She was missing for almost a month.

Donovan is being charged with kidnapping and imprisonment.
