A tropical cyclone has killed at least 350 people in Burma, injuring many more and causing damage to thousands of buildings..Washington (eCanadaNow) - A tropical cyclone has killed at least 350 people in Burma, injuring many more and causing damage to thousands of buildings.

According to reports, in some regions the majority of buildings experienced a great deal of damage.

Burma has declared the area of Irrawaddy as well as other regions, such as teh main city of Rangoon, as disaster areas.

Winds of around 120mph rocked many of the regions with the death toll over 350 now.

It is believed that around 20,000 homes have been totally destroyed, with 90,000 people now homeless.

The death tolll is only expected to rise as they look in more remote areas.

In Irrawaddy, around 75% of the buildings have completely collapsed.

The cyclone has now moved towards Thailand, where storm warnings have already been issued.  It seems to be weakening a bit though.
