Jane Pauley Returns to Morning Show Roots
Jane Pauley was part of millions of American’s daily morning ritual for thirteen years. Every weekday morning Pauley’s face appeared on the television morning news program, “Today.” She became a trusted news anchor and won a large fan base.
In 2004, many of her fans were shocked when she announced she struggled with bi-polar disease. She talked about her mental disorder in detail and has lent her support to further research and programs focused on the disorder.
Now, in 2010, Pauley is back after fading from the spotlight for several years. She is returning to the “Today” show in a monthly segment that is directed at people over the age of 50. The 59 year old actress will host “Your Life Calling with Jane Pauley.”
The show is the result of a team effort between AARP, NBC and Pauley. The show will focus on those reinventing their lives in a variety of areas like work, hobbies and love. Each segment will feature people who have done just that and will hopefully inspire others to do the same.
The first show is scheduled to air on March 9th during the 8am hour. She will also participate in an online chat following the show on the AARP website.
