Honey Boo Boo Mom’s ’08 Mug Shot For Theft Of Child Support

June Shannon, mother of TLC’s new hit reality show ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’, has a prior criminal record.

A mug shot (Photo) of Shannon has recently surfaced online.

The incident is from January 3, 2008 when Shannon was arrested in Henry County, Georgia for both contempt of court and theft of child support payments.

It’s not known if this disclosure will affect the status of the reality show tracking her celebrity daughter’s unusual upbringing.

Child Protective Services had also paid a surprise visit to Shannon and her husband earlier this Spring at their home in McIntyre Georgia following an incident of filming ‘Honey Boo Boo’ dancing for dollars in a club. Child Protective Services were investigating possible child abuse.

A source told the National Esquire that authorities who made the visit “found reason to bring the case to court’ but a ‘court-appointed attorney’ for June convinced the judge to ‘throw it [the case] out”.

The source said investigators were called to the home as a result of June and Mr Thompson’s unorthodox, and highly-publicised, parenting methods which include feeding Alana caffeinated drinks as well as roadkill for dinner, reports the Daily Mail.

The source added: “Honey Boo Boo’s upbringing raised eyebrows with neighbours.”

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Airs Wednesday nights on TLC.

I love this show! Sometimes I laugh out loud. Give the folks a break…..this is how some people are used to living. Lots of people eat venison…..they know if it’s good or not.
Maybe this show will help them make some money and be able to buy better food.
I can’t wait for the next show.

I didn’t like June when I first saw her on T & T but she has won me over. June & her family are 100% real people, very comfortable with themselves, not trying to impress anyone & pretend to be what they are not. I would much rather spend time with them than some stuck in the mud, self centered, judgemental, I am never wrong, Politically Correct, totally fake person. You are just jealous that June got offered a reality show & you & your dull, un-interesting family didn’t. She may not look it, but she is a smart woman & figured out a way to help support her girls, make some very good money & have fun at the same time. Believe me I would have jumped at the offer also. As far as road kill, freshly hit deer meat is much fresher & better for you than any meat or poultry bought in a store. It is common practice thru out the US for families or shelters to be given fresh road kill deer meat. There are too many people that go hungry in this country & it is a good way to help families & shelters feed people. The child welfare authorities need to be more concerned with kids that are abused & neglected instead of Honey Boo Boo’s well being. It is very clear she is well cared for and has tons of love & support from her family. All you nay sayers get a life and leave this family alone….
