Toronto – Oops, someone on BlackBerry’s social media team just made an embarrassing mistake. That awkward moment when blackberry promotes their products from “Twitter for iPhone”
The tweet, which was first spotted and screenshotted by The Verge, has since been deleted.
Twitter does have an app designed for BlackBerry OS. But it would apppear that the company’s social media gurus prefer to use competitor Apple’s Twitter app.

BlackBerry was caught tweeting from an iPhone today. When asked for comment, the company wrote, “We have no comment. Sent from my iPhone.”

The message, “Twitter for iPhone” that highlighted BlackBerry’s mistake, is not visible on the regular Twitter application but can be seen using Tweetbot, Tweetdeck and other third-party clients.
This isn’t the first time that a BlackBerry representative accidentally used an iphone. Alicia Keys, who was once BlackBerry’s “Global Creative Director,” ignited a mild social media scandal in 2013 when she tweeted from an iPhone instead of a BlackBerry.
