Michael Irvin Facing Civil Suit

Ex-NFLer & assault charges

The woman who has accused former NFL wide receiver Michael Irvin of rape has filed a civil lawsuit against him. The rape accusations stems from an incident on July 5, 2007 when Irvin allegedly raped the woman at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. According to the suit, Irvin gave the woman a lot of alcohol and then lured her into his hotel room. The lawsuit does not name the woman who is accusing the former star.

The woman claims that Irvin and an unidentified man requested sexual favors and when she denied them, the unidentified man held her down while Irvin raped her. After the incident was over, Irvin’s brother, Derrick Irvin, allegedly took the woman into another room in an attempt to cover up the rape and assault.

Michael Irvin has denied the allegations various times and, at the moment, no criminal charges have been filed. According to Irvin’s attorney, Irvin had no sexual encounter with the woman and beyond possibly meeting her, had no interaction with her whatsoever.

Michael Irvin played for the Dallas Cowboys for 12 seasons and is a member of the NFL Hall of Fame. While with the Cowboy, Irvin won three Super Bowls.

I am soo tired to these gold diggers. As a working, professional woman, it gives us good women a bad rap. Why would you wait 3 years to report a rape? I don’t care if I was going to be offered money, I would have went right to the police that night, then to the hospital for a rape kit to be done. What is wrong with these diggers, get a job and stop trying to take money from people. Keep your pants up and stop using your vagina as a weapon. This get’s on my nerves (3 years, be for real)!
