Steve Phillips And Brooke Hundley Fired From ESPN

Steve Phillips, the former general manager of the Mets, was fired this past Sunday after it was stated that his ability to represent ESPN had been damaged after the affair he had with ESPN’s production assistant, Brooke Handley. Since this scandal has surfaced, both Hundley and Phillips have left the ESPN. This sex scandal began three weeks ago and turned into a ‘fatal attraction’ when Phillips tried to end it. Phillip’s wife, Marni, has been so frightened that she has called the police and reported that Hundley has shown up at her house and sent message by text to her as well as her children.

It has been reported by Phillip’s representative, Steve Lefkowitz, that the Michigan alumnus and Detroit native has entered himself into an inpatient treatment facility to deal with personal problems he is facing. Phillips actually made the reservations at the facility before ESPN has fired him.

Lofkowitz has compared Phillip’s issues to those of the actor Michael Douglas who has been treated for a sexual compulsive disorder. He stopped short of calling the issues a sexual addiction problem. Phillips is not seen as a ‘sleazebag’, but a rather good guy who has just lost his way. Lefkowitz believes that whatever Phillips did wrong was under his control or he would not be admitting himself help. Phillips knows that he needs the help and also wants a life back with his wife and family, which is more important to him than anything else.
