Byron Scott, has been fired as the coach has of the New Orleans Hornets, according to media reports Friday.
“Our expectations are high. Our sense of urgency is high. Our patience is low and we hope that translates into results quickly,” Hornets chief operating officer Hugh Weber said.
The Hornets have been off to a slow start this season with a record of only Many expected the team to be in the playoffs and contend for the Southwest Division.
Scott was named the head coach of the 2008 Western Conference All-Star team, and a few months after, he was awarded the 2007–2008 NBA coach of the year award. Due to his success the Hornets awarded Scott with a two year extension.
Scott will be replaced by general manager Jeff Bower
