Golf Champ Tiger Woods In Car Accident
Golf champion, Tiger Woods, was involved in a car accident early Friday morning. The accident occurred in front of his home in Florida. The number 1 ranked golfer, has been treated and released from the hospital, and is now resting at home. The accident which happened around 2:30 a.m., was not reported until late Friday afternoon. Officers reporting the accident stated Woods was seriously injured.
The cause of the accident is still unclear at this time, but is not believed to be alcohol related. The 33 year old Woods drove his vehicle into a fire hydrant and then his neighbor’s tree, while backing out of his driveway. He has suffered some minor cuts on his face. His spokesperson has called the accident minor, and Woods is fine.
Woods was the only person in the Cadillac SUV at the time of the accident. The impact was not enough to deploy the airbags, which would indicate he was not traveling faster than 33mph.
Woods is expected to play in the Chevron World Challenge tournament beginning on December 3rd. The PGA tour media official did not have any comment about the incident.
