Bengals’ Chris Henry Suffering Life Threatening Injuries
Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals has been seriously injured in a domestic dispute incident. He was found laying in a street in Charlotte after falling out of the bed of a pick-up truck. The 26 year old wide receiver was has been transported to Carolinas Medical Center. Henry was reportedly in Charlotte planning wedding details.
Henry is currently on life support as a result of the head injury. His fiancee Loleini Tonga, has not been officially charged. Witnesses are reporting Henry jumped into the back of the truck as she was driving away from a home earlier this afternoon. He was found about half a mile from the house he was staying at. The two had been arguing when she took off. A homicide investigation has been opened although he has not died.
Henry is in his fourth and final year with the Bengals. He is on the injured reserve list after suffering a broken arm on November 8th in a game against Baltimore. He has had a troubling NFL career with several arrests and suspensions prior to this incident.
