Jay Novacek is now facing a great personal tragedy. His wife of many years has reportedly passed away from a gunshot wound to the head.
There is no word yet as to whether the gunshot wound is self inflicted or was caused someone else. LeeAnn, Jay’s wife was very involved with the Dallas community during Jay’s playing days as a tight end with the Dallas Cowboys.
The autopsy has yet to be performed on LeeAnn so people are not sure completely what happened and reportedly her family is absolutely shocked at the possibility that she would commit suicide. Jay is of course quite shaken up about the situation and of course has denied any interview requests or has not made a public statement to this point.
The great numbers that Jay put up as a member of the Dallas Cowboys are something that the city of Dallas will always be grateful for.
There are so many people in the community who would be more than glad to help Jay through this awful tragedy.
The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and the entire Cowboys family will be glad to help Jay in anyway they possibly can. Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman and so many others always talked about what a pleasure it was to play with Jay.

Jay Novacek was the best tight end the Cowboys ever had and I watched him also with his wife on the ESPN
hunting/fishing shows. My heart goes out to him and his family….My prayers are with you
