Super Bowl ad rejected
Tim Tebow, the former quarterback for the Florida Gators has never been afraid to express his Christianity on the football field.
This expression of his faith has earned him praise from religious leaders on both the right and left ends of the political spectrum.
There are some people on the political left who seem to be questioning the accuracy of an anti-abortion rights advertisement funded by Focus on the Family that Tebow has agreed to appear in. Pro-life groups and religious conservatives on the other hand are praising Tebow for speaking out presumably on behalf of the pro-life movement.
Tebow is unapologetic about appearing in the ad and he appears to have formed a good relationship with Dr. James Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family.
There are pro-choice advocates who feel that the advertisement featuring Pam Tebow, Tim’s mother discussing her reproductive decisions should be pulled because it is factually inaccurate in their view.
The people at CBS says the advertisement is ready to go and it certainly doesn’t seem to be factually inaccurate or extremely controversial in their eyes.
The National Organization of Women appears to be opposed to the airing of the advertisement. They view the advertisement as trying to infringe on someone’s personal decisions.
