Game 3 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals went the way of the Philadelphia Flyers last night by a score of 4-3 in overtime over the Chicago Blackhawks. The valiant effort by the Flyers have put them back into the hunt for the Stanley Cup and has stolen away the home ice advantage by the Blackhawks.
Claude Giroux scored almost 6 minutes into overtime to give the Flyers the win. The Flyers had scored a goal not long before that only to have to have it reversed on a officials replay. Not long after Giroux took a Matt Carle pass and put it through the net pass the Blackhawk’s Antti Neimi.
Giroux came through in the end and has shown that his selection back in the 2006 Draft has paid off huge dividends. The Stanley Cup Finals go back to Philadelphia for a show down on Friday night. The Blackhawks have lost their 2-0 advantage as the Philadelphia Flyers win on Wednesday night, 4-3 in overtime on the stick of Claude Giroux.
