The California woman who allegedly sprayed Black Friday shoppers with pepper spray turned herself in to the authorities. Police released the woman pending an investigation but could make an arrest within the next few days. If the woman, whose identity has not been released, is the correct person, she could face battery charges for her actions.

The incident in question occurred at the Porter Ranch Walmart at 10:30 PM, when the store opened for its Black Friday sales.

The woman allegedly used the pepper spray on a group of shoppers waiting for discounted Xboxes.

Ten shoppers suffered minor injuries as a result of the pepper spray. Ten other people were injured in the resulting chaos.

Black Friday looms just around the corner and with it door busters, deals and discounts for those willing to meet the post American Thanksgiving Day early.

Wal-Mart Canada Corp. will be using the phrase Black Friday to promote this weekend’s specials for the first time this year, said spokesperson Susan Schutta.

One special deal being offered by Home Depot will apply more to larger purchases. Customers who buy appliances on Black Friday will be offered a chance to pay no interest on purchases of $450 or more for 18 months, with installation included.

Shoppers looking for some of the best deals on brand-name electronics should look no further than Best Buy on the biggest shopping day of the year Friday, Nov. 26.

Video games, gaming systems, televisions, movies and more will be on sale at rock-bottom prices on Black Friday.

A Nintendo Wii console bundle, featuring the game system, controller and games, will cost only $169.99.. The Nook Wi-Fi e-reader will cost only 99.99, while a Toshiba Blu-Ray player is only $59.99. Kohl’s releases Black Friday deals for 2010

Kohl’s will be beating a number of competing retailers to the punch on Friday, Nov. 26, by opening at 3 a.m. for its annual Black Friday sale. More than 400 specials will be offered to the earliest shoppers, according to the store’s Black Friday ad, and those deals scheduled to end well into the day at 1 p.m.

All shoppers who decide to brave the crowds will get a gift of $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent in the store, after all sale discounts are applied. Kohl’s Cash earned on Friday can be used in stores through Dec. 6.

The store’s Black Friday ad features a number of items in all departments. For the home, shoppers can grab blankets for $3.99.

Deals will also be available on name-brand toys, clothing, jewelry and shoes. Many items that have already been on sale will be discounted further for additional savings.
