Country music superstar Brad Paisley is recovering from a nasty fall he endured during a concert held in South Carolina. The fall occurred during an encore performance.

Paisley was jogging onstage with his guitar and apparently lost his footing, tripped and fell approximately six feet to land on his side. Security rushed to the singer’s aid, but he appeared to be just fine. He jumped up, thanked the audience, slapped a few hands, and managed to walk off the stage. He was immediately taken to the hospital. The singer was checked out for possible broken ribs and underwent a CT scan, but thankfully there were no broken bones. He did suffer some serious bruising but is reportedly just fine, just very sore.

He tweeted about his accident, stating he “hit hard, and I mean really freaking hard.” He also included pictures of himself in the emergency room via his twitter account. The singer was singing his famous “Alcohol” song when the accident happened. This was the final show of his “American Saturday Night” tour with Miranda Lambert and Justin Moore.

The singer had an excellent attitude about the whole ordeal and offered a meet and greet with the first person who posted the incident on YouTube.

Taylor Swift was completed uninterrupted as she won awards for all four categories she was nominated in at the 43rd annual CMA show on Thursday night. She took home three trophies for album of the year, female vocalist, and music video for her five-time platinum album Fearless.

Taylor Swift is hoping to clean house tonight during the CMA’s.

The 19-year-old sensation has the record sales. She beat out every living artist – no matter the genre – this year with more than 3 million copies of her “Fearless” CD sold and counting (only Michael Jackson has sold more). The album remains No. 3 after 51 weeks on the charts

And she’s moving concert tickets as fast as they can print them.

That might be enough to sway the more than 5,000 members of the Country Music Association, who decide who gets the trophy for entertainer of the year, the CMA’s highest honour, at the CMA Awards on Wednesday night (the broadcast will air live on ABC).

She’s the youngest ever nominated for the award and the first solo female act since Faith Hill in 2000, and she’s faced a lot of questions about whether either is a limiting factor.

“I think you have to do the work and put in the effort and do the touring that it takes to win entertainer of the year,” she said in an interview with The Associated Press. “And I don’t really think it has anything to do with gender. I think if you want to compete with the boys, play on a level that they’re playing at.”

Swift will also be performing the night’s opening number.

Taylor is the perfect choice as the opening act for the 2009 CMA Awards,” said Tammy Genovese, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “Her charisma, charm, popularity, and talent will set the stage for an evening you won’t soon forget. We know her fans will want to stay tuned to see what she does next.”

The 43rd Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 11 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Who do you hope goes home tonight with the hardware?
